Alex the Great!
This is the third time I've had the privilege of taking Mr. Alex's pictures...you may recognize those beautiful blue eyes. I usually take lots of big brother Jack, but alas...Spiderman was tired from a full day of saving the world (see first picture below). It's been such a fun process to watch these gorgeous boys grow. We were waiting for Mr. Alex to walk, but as you can see, he doesn't really want to let go of Mommy's fingers too often. I love all of these pictures, but the last 3 are my favorite. I now know why I love doing lifestyle photojournalism...it captures the "real" moments of life. The life of Alex at 14 months. He only goes down the slide with Mommy...and he's a bit protective of her on Mondays :o) He won't let go of those fingers for very long. And who doesn't love to swing on Mommy and Daddy's hands (I still remember doing that!) Emily and Chris, thank you again for letting me in on a glimpse of your life. Your family is amazing.

Layna turns the big TWO
I've fallen in love...with the Fitzgerald Family...again! I had such a great Saturday. Remember my Irish wedding a couple of weeks ago? Well, I had the privilege of taking pictures of their niece's 2nd birthday. Layna had lots of family over to celebrate her birthday. It was so fun to hang out with everyone again after the wedding! There was this moon sand out in the garage that all the kids were playing with (and me too!) It made for some colorful pictures. Here's just a quick preview...

This is the sweet flower girl from the wedding. Look at those amazing freckles! I took a million pictures of her...again!

Grandpa and grandson...this one reminds me of my old film days.

Basketball Glory
I love my church...words can't really explain how it fills my soul. I also love that it overflows with artists, and people who love sports and all things competitive (all in good measure)! We have tournaments and fun things going on all the time at Redeemer. We just had a basketball tournament during this past Final 4 weekend. They named Josh's team The Dubach Destiny...no pressure or anything! It was actually a really tough line up. But in the end...The Destiny was victorious. Here are a few pics to prove it (read: Josh's glory slideshow):
If you'd like see even more athleticism, please view this winter's football tournament...you thought I was kidding?

Well, I finally made the plunge and have decided to change my name (with some poking and prodding from amazing friends). My new business name will be kieraphoto. My website has already changed to www.kieraphoto.com My old kdphotography will be redirected to the new site. Lyla: Part Deux
I got to see another precious Lyla this week! Joe and Jess invested in the "Growing Year" package and this is the second time I've gotten to see Lyla. She and Eli are the same age...although I'm pretty sure Eli could eat her...she's so little and girly! Lyla is quite the mover since last time I saw her. What a treat to see those blue eyes again! I can't wait to watch her run next time!
I know you hate that drool Jess...but I just LOVE it! Those blue eyes are so mesmerizing!

And Lila makes 7
Yup...you heard right. Before you start to think, "Is this lady crazy?" or anything like that, let me preface this post by saying, "No, she's not crazy!" In fact this whole family is amazing. These children sat and looked like the pictures below the whole time. Would this happen with my mere 3...no way. These gentle souls were so fun and gracious to be around. Shelley and I met each other before we even had children (when was that again?) and our lives just kept us running us into each other...lucky for me! It's been so fun to share stories, advice, life lessons and blessings with one another along the way. I hope you enjoy these favorites of mine. Dave...the last one is just for you...I didn't know you were such a great basketball player!
