Mad Cow

So I've been thinking a lot about my "season of life" a term used by one of my Mom's in my classroom. I'm still kinda in survival mode since the birth of our third child in 3 years. However, I just love the moments that shine and your heart melts. It's that moment when you know the madness is all worth it.

My Mom was watching my kids the other night and asked my daughter where Mommy keeps her pajamas. My daughter replied, "In the dryer". No joke. I guess at this point I'm just happy they're clean!

After loading up my 2 older kids in the car, I realized I had forgotten something inside and went in to get it...literally 30 seconds or less. When I got back, my one and half year old had gotten out of his seat and made his way to MY seat (he loves buttons) and had a mouth full of banana Runts which I had weeded out of the box I had been snacking on (who likes banana candy?) As I was trying to make him spit them out, he just kept trying to chew them up faster so he didn't have to. After most were out of his mouth he just looked up at me with those big brown eyes and was smiling from ear to ear...stinker (apparently HE likes banana candy!) Yet another "Mother of the Year" award for me...

I was carrying my 3 month old, Eli, down the hall today after waking him from a nap. His legs still curl up when he's tired. I love that. Then, I had a future flash of him becoming this strapping young man much taller than me one day. So, I held on to those curled legs just a bit longer. I guess you just have to take life in strides and enjoy the moment you are in...and breathe in God's goodness.

Here are some pics from our costume party at my friend Lori's house. I literally found these costumes the day before the party (Ky's ballerina princess was about an hour before). I know in my head that one day I'll sew them perfect outfits...until then, enjoy these.

Lori...we had such a great time. Thank you so much for being such an amazing hostess! Can't wait to "craft"!

Erin and Jason

I don't even know where to begin. A near death run in with a mini van, an empty bottle of Yeager, a pink carnation serenade, Biggie on the bus, the big easy HOR, and "I'm Ron Burgandy???" It was all so much I didn't go to bed for hours after I got home. I'm totally hoarse from yelling (in a good way) all day. It's hard to get 26 people to listen all at the same time outside at Monument Circle! I was so nervous to shoot that many people...I had no idea that each one of them would be so amazing and how comfortable I would feel around them. By the end of the night I felt like one of the girls (I even had my own nickname)...that's just how Erin is though. The clear blue skies and big breeze were a perfect setting to a perfect day. The bus jams totally rocked as did your patience walking all around downtown to get "just the right picture". Thank you so much for making US feel so special on YOUR day. You are both so incredible.
~Your "Special K"

I LOVE this picture. All the groomsmen totally look like they are about to kill me...and then there is sweet Jason laughing the entire time! I cracked up when I saw this.

This picture is dedicated to Ron Burgandy..."I don't know quite how to say this, but I'm kind of a big deal..."

Our bus driver took us here for a surprise! We weren't too sure where he was taking us...but isn't this sign SO cute!

We were trying for a saultry look here for Erin, but she just kept cracking up...I've decided I like this photo better anyway. Too cute.

Here are a few of my artsy ones. I just love these for no particular reason.

I love this moment. It's when Erin learns that one of her groomsmen stepped off the bus and onto a moving van...a high school band van. He had flourescent pink paint on the back of his tux from the "GO TITANS" written on the van window. When only laughed when we knew he was okay...

This pic is for you gentlemen...

Here's the slideshow! Wahoo!

Nikki and Troy's Wedding

Let's just say that when Mindy and I pulled into the parking lot and the groomsmen were out there enjoying some Irish car bombs...we knew we were going to have a blast! The weather was amazing...and so were all the dresses! The reception was perfect...Nikki can dance! These are just a few of my favorite pics that show how fantastic the day was. Don't forget to check out the slideshow for even more! Thank you so much for letting us share in your special day guys! PS There are NO bats in the cave (wink wink).
