ahhh...

After 20 weddings and 21 portrait shoots (the past 2 months) josh and I got away with the kids this weekend. We had such a great time just relaxing and talking. I brought my computer...but only for the ride down. It was amazing not to have internet access for over 48 hours. I feel like a new woman. I just thought I'd update you on my family life..mainly through an iphone camera:o)

Falls Park: The Dugger Family

I went to high school with these two outstanding ladies. It was so fun to see their whole family again. We went to Falls Park in Pendelton, Indiana. It was so beautiful there...so beautiful in fact that there were a plethora other photographers there taking advantage of our flittering warm weather. Here are a few of my favorites. Go Warriors :o)

On a Cold and Blistery Day...

I had the privilege of taking some family portraits! I've been waiting to do these pictures for a while now...my family LOVES this family. Sarah decided she wanted to do some urban shots, since that is where their life is right now. I, of course, loved that idea. However...the weather was a bit brisk at 9:30 in the morning. Luckily the mall was near by, so we ran around, played and warmed up a bit (another reason I love lifestyle portraiture). By the time we left it had warmed up a bit so I got a few outside pictures on the way back to the car...yay! Here are a few of my favorites :o) FYI: Move over GAP models...here come Toby and Joshua!

Blue Skies, Dancing and Mitch: Erin and Brian's Wedding

This was possibly the most beautiful day of the year for a wedding. We had blue skies, some white puffy clouds and cool weather! And this bridal party was awesome! I had the opportunity to take Brian and Erin's engagement pictures and then I got to take family pictures for the bride's family early this year. It's so nice to go into a wedding and know so many people!

My fellow photographer and friend, Shawna Schaub, shot with me all day. I could not have done it without her. I must say one of the highlight's of the day (especially for Brian) was hanging out with our Governor, Mitch Daniels. He happened to be golfing at the reception site, The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club. Not only did he come out and have his picture taken with Erin and Brian, but he also told the guys some great stories. Very cool. The reception was a blast.  Jeremy, the DJ, (thanks for the song!) was rockin' it.  Everyone was dancing the whole time.

Erin and Brian...thanks for making us feel like part of the family. We hope you have an amazing time in Maui!!!

Sabrina and Brock: E-Session

I'm so excited to take pictures of Sabrina and Brock's wedding next year. And I'm really happy it didn't rain (inside joke) this weekend! Here's a sneak peek of our session at the IMA/Butler. It was so beautiful there and luckily Sabrina knew her way around!

Boy oh Boys! (and Chewbacca)

I just love this family. It's always a treat to take their pictures. Plus, I get the privilege of watching these little ones grow...how awesome is my job?! Walking around Holcomb Gardens at Butler was just perfect. The boys got to run and I had a gorgeous backdrop! Here a few of my favorites...and don't worry Mama, Alex did smile in a few of them :o)
PS Chewbacca and the Stormtrooper did make it in a few pics, but luckily they're pretty camouflaged.
