Hinkle Fun :: Indianapolis Family Photographer

I went to DePauw with this sweet mom and dad. It's so fun to see both of them and their personalities in their kids now. Dad has a big job at Hinkle Field House, so we decided to do the pictures there. I love the feel that Butler has, it definitely reminds me of DPU in a way.

I LOVE this pic. Just so comfortable...

Are you kidding me with those eyes! Gorgeous!

All Grown Up :: Indianapolis Senior Picture Photographer

This little cutie was one of my former third graders. It was so fun to reconnect with her last week. We were losing light quickly, but I'm so excited about some of the new places that I found. Plus, I'm pretty sure you can't take a bad picture of her :o) Enjoy!

I love the background on this picture and her natural smile!

The wind was on our side :o)

Gorgeous!

The Red Chair pic...

The backlighting was perfect!

We can't forget the entourage! Thanks so much for helping!

Okay, this one is a long story...but hilarious!

This is the same tatoo that Miss M's late mother had.

We had some inside jokes that we were laughing about :o)

So we tried to recreate a picture that Miss M had of her Mom in the 80s. They look so much alike. I hope this is what you were thinking!

Lots O' Babies :: Indianapolis Portrait Photographer

I met Renee at the Northside Twins & Mulitple Group last year. She has an amazing small business that she runs. You should totally check out The Busy Bee Paperie. We've been talking about a photo shoot for a while now, so last week we finally got together with the cousins to make it happen. Her boys are soooo handsome! And there little girl cousins are adorable. I had to be fast, but here are a few of my favs! Enjoy!

She just had her newest addition a week or 2 ago (she looks spectacular!) so I had the privlege of documenting their life right now...a newborn and a two year old...can I get an "amen!"
Here a few of my favorites! Thanks for letting me part of the fam and being flexible with your schedule!

This senior and her entourage totally rocked it for me. The sunlight (although fleeting) was so beautiful so I had fun playing with the light. Plus the wind totally kicked in to give us that complete model feel :o) Here are a few of my favs...

This was the first picture I took of the whole session...the back light is awesome.

Nawlins :: Indianapolis Photographer

I love New Orleans! A couple of weeks ago, I had a great opportunity to go New Orleans. To learn from other photographers, to be inspired, to have some girl time and to dance! I love dancing :o) I got to share a room with the incredible Megan King and Maya Laurent. We had a great time walking around and talking, talking, talking. Here are a few from my model shoots, speakers that inspire me and New Orleans...

The fabulous Abigail Todd was our model.

I was in a photojournalistic mood apparently...plus it was getting late out so the grain really works in these.

This just screams New Orleans to me :o)

Maya on the move...shooting from the hip baby!

The life of a photographer...checking emails, facebook and twitter, all while shooting things inspiring around you...

I think we took about 482 of these...but this one was my fav :o)

MMMMMM...beignets...so worth it!!!!

Megan thinks so too :o)

Kelli + Chad = 1 Hot Wedding! :: Indiana Wedding Photographer

After an inspirational week in New Orleans with other photographer's from around the country, I felt so fresh and ready to take on this wedding. Plus, I'm pretty sure I couldn't take a bad picture of these two even if I tried they're so beautiful! This is another Hicksville, OH bride. So almost all my favorite Hicksvillians were there. We had the most beautiful weather...70 degrees with blue skies...in November!!! Gotta love Indiana! I loved hearing people talk about Kelli and Chad throughout the day. Everyone had the sweetest things to say about them. It was such a pleasure for Mindy and I to get to hang out with them and their whole bridal party. One of my favorite parts of the day was getting into the brand new baseball field in Fort Wayne. Chad is a professional baseball player, so it tied in nicely with our day. We finished out with lots of dancing at the Courthouse downtown. It was so beautiful there!

Okay, enough chit chat, enjoy the pictures below. It was hard to pick, so I put a lot into the slideshow at the bottom :o)

Kelli and Chad thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your spectacular day and for treating us like family. We had a sensational day with you.

And the outfit is now complete...I love their reactions!

See...hottie!

I love this pic of the guys!

This was one of my favorite "first look" moments of all time. They allowed enough time before the ceremony and the lighting and location were perfect. We didn't miss anything as we did ninja moves around them :o) Chad literally couldn't stop smiling after he saw Kelli...

Fabulous Julia :: Indianapolis Senior Picture Photographer

I had so much fun getting to know Julia during our senior picture session! She is so beautiful and I love that her style is so unique...not normal for a high schooler...I like "not normal" :o) She is an accomplished bass player and would love to study music in college too! Here are just a few of my favorites. Each picture brings back a funny memory from our session...I hope you think so too!

This is right after I told Julia to give me a "serious" face. Apparently her serious face can look a bit too serious, so we both started cracking up.

She finally perfected it. See...not scary Julia, beauteous :o)

I love that there is a tree growing inside of the building and that you can rock the skinny jean!

FAVORITE!!!!

If they only knew that we almost died taking this picture! Okay, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but it's a better story!

This is what was coming down the tracks. I love the yellow on this train!

Another fav. I love your sweet smile in this one.

Kelli & Chad Sneak Peek :: Indiana Wedding Photographer

I just had to put up a sneak peek before the big slideshow premieres this week.

Ummm, yes, we are at a baseball stadium!!!

This is what you can look like if you check back in later this week to view the slide show :o)

Fall Family Pictures! :: Indianapolis Portrait Photographer

The day finally heated up for this gorgeous family as the day went along. Our noses were all pretty red at first, but after the sun heated up and we played a bit, all was well. I met Katie last year and feel such a connection with her. So, when she asked me to take some family pictures as a surprise for her parents, I couldn't wait to meet the rest of the family. Oh, and did I mention that she has this amazing business? The Icing Co. YOU MUST CHECK IT OUT! Here a few of my favorites. Thanks for being amazing Katie...
Sisters and brother. Can you tell?
I think Katie and her niece have such a special connection.
Are you kidding me with this back lighting?
YES! I'M FIVE!!!
I think this one should be framed for life :o)
These two have the most beautiful eyes!
I just had to show this one...don't worry, I have non silly others as well.

weatherheads and macy

Some of you may remember my Macy senior pictures I posted not too long ago...well I had the honor of taking pictures of her WHOLE family while in Hicksville last weekend! This family is amazing. I had so much fun watching them and hanging out with them. Plus, it gives me hope that one day I can just talk all day with my kids and not really discipline them, change their diapers or make them lunch :o) Here are a few of my favorites along with some more of Macy in her brand new high school. Thanks for making me feel like part of the family! See you soon...

This telephone pole was so flippin cool. I totally want to come back in the summer and jump off of it!

I love the lighting in this picture.

Fav!

Okay, I know it's NOT just me, but this brother looks just like one of the Jonas brothers...I now have proof! Sorry bro, at least it's the cute Jonas :o)

These are some fun ones of Macy that I'm trying out. This girl is talented!

Good idea Dad!

Hicksville Rules :: Indianapolis Photographer

I love my brides. Period. What a true privilege it is not only for me to be a part of a couple's most treasured day, but then to also be their friend on top of it is amazing. I got to hang out with two of my brides last weekend. Teresa of Teresa and Joe and Kara of LarKar. Josh and I were invited to Kara's hometown of Hicksville to her grandparents annual weenie roast. We were in. We were fed well, completely taken care of, loved and encouraged. It was so cool for me to see tons of pictures of Kara and Larry's wedding all over their house. It's like the fruits of my labor were so appreciated and honored. I LOVE you guys! Thanks for letting us sleep in, play with Tippy, hold weaponry, constantly encouraging me, and allowing us meet your family and friends.

Here is a little tribute to the weenie roast of 2009 (Tippy won the slideshow cover award):
